Building Commercially Successful Lidar Sensors

Apurva Jain

Apurva Jain has over 10 years of experience in optoelectronics, product development, program management, and precision manufacturing. His expertise is in converting engineering concepts to commercially successful products in the fewest iterations employing best design and manufacturing practices. Apurva is currently a Senior Director of Engineering at Lumotive - a Seattle-based company developing solid-state 3D-sensing systems for consumer electronics, industrial automation, and autonomous vehicles. Prior to Lumotive, he was the Director of New Product Development at Avo Photonics where he developed, from concept to manufacturing, over 25 optoelectronic devices for the industrial sensing, medical diagnostics, and telecom market segments. Apurva received his Ph.D. in Optics from CREOL, University of Central Florida and B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.
