Optica Online Industry Meeting: Photonics-based Quantum Communication

Quantum communication links can span a few meters, from one quantum processor to another, or from earth to satellite and back. They are necessary to scale quantum computers, and also for quantum key distribution services, and other specialized applications. Photonics is the primary solution for these links, but the applications have different requirements than classical communication links. Moreover, there are currently no commercial quantum repeaters or quantum memories. This meeting will discuss the ongoing requirements for photonic components for these applications.
